Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter news and hosting SportsNation. In 2016, she joined ESPN. The daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual since nine years old a useful talent that enabled her to get her first job as a production assistant with Univision in Miami which gave her the chance to work with the producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. After this she was hired by the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become an investigative reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The stories she wrote about covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Additionally, she worked as the Spanish reporter for the newscast of 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter on the newscast from nine p.m. on English and also a Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. Anchor duties for sports or weather were regularly asked for. She then anchored and reported on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was given more responsibilities. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985. She has an elder sister. There is an older sibling. Then, shortly afterward, her parents separated and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died from kidney cancer in 2006. On a trip Antonietta spent the time at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten the job of his dreams. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she thought her future would look like, traveled to Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. The campus was stunning and provided the education she was looking for. When she completed her high school education, she was accepted into the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she was determined to exceed his expectations, never letting him down.
